What have I been doing since 2009? Wow!!! So much has happened since then. I had a beautiful baby girl and took care of my Dad, who had a stroke last year and went back to college. Life has a way of getting away from you when you're not looking.
And somewhere along the way I was able to squeeze out a few batches of soap. Not too many, but enough to satisfy my family and friends. Soap is my canvas. I love to mix colors and fragrances!!! It's an addiction. One I hope I never have to go to rehab for!
Just reopened my Artfire Store and started making more soap.

I hope everyone out there is doing great and I look forward to posting more and catching up

I know..I know....

I know how slack I am. I have not been here in months. I guess when my pc was down I got a little lazy. I have been busy at home though. Going though closets, cleaning out stuff I don't use and making soap. And I finally posted some soaps on Artfire. I had my first sale within a couple of days. I got excited.
I need to post here more often about things. What can I talk about tonite. I made homemade cinnamon rolls and I am rebatching some soap as we speak. I am so worried it will look like poo. Nice smelling poo. It is in the crock pot now.....gelling away. I will try to post a pick in the next couple of days . We'll see how it goes. Hate to cut it short but I smell soap cookin....

Holiday Scent Descriptions

I have been out of commission. I have a child with tonsillitis and I have been ill. I am feeling some better. So , here are the holiday scent descriptions I promised last week:

Merry Mistletoe- You will detect a floral bouquet note, which is enhanced by fruits and warm spices with just a subtle hint of pine & musk to make this a very romantic holiday fragrance.

Pumpkin Pie-A scrumptious concoction of smooth pumpkin with the warm, spicy notes of nutmeg, clove and cinnamon topped with a rich layer of butter. You'll swear theirs a pie in the oven. A definite mouth-watering "must" for the autumn and winter festivities!

Balsam Windsong- The wind blows across rows of Balsam pines and mixes with the scent of the lush Mountain forest floor to create this mesmerizing fragrance.

Beneath the Stars- A blend of Grape, Peach, Citrus, Plum, Rose and Musk. Perfectly balanced to bring you a tender medley.

Apple Peel-The crisp, tart goodness of apples is first and foremost. Added is the zingy tang of orange peel, and topped off with just the right amount of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove to enhance but not overwhelm the fragrance. The perfect combination for a true Christmas scent.

My available fragrance list. Still a work in progress.

I have had a busy weekend. I have been trying to re-organize my fragrances. This is a list of what I am keeping in stock.:

Oats,Milk And Bees- This is a great comfort scent. It's the warm scent of oatmeal combined with the nutty notes of almonds and the silky notes of soft vanilla. It actually contains toasted rolled oats.

Cowboy Blues- This is the brilliant masculine composition of woods, patchouli, herbs and spices. The fragrance opens with a burst of caramelized sugar and is balanced with star anise and fresh ginger.

Spun Sugar- The perfect combination of pink cotton candy notes with a warm vanilla and caramel base.Add just a hint of citrus zest with soft musk bottom notes to round out this whimsical fragrance.

Irish Creed- This fragrance possesses a spicy sweet blend of French Verbena and lemon with a green center of Florentine Iris, violet leaves and sublime base notes of sandalwood and ambergris. It is the perfect sporty, masculine scent.

Baby Bare- This is the only unfragranced bar I carry. It is Pure and Simple. Perfect for those with allergies to fragrances and essential oils.

Raspberry Vanilla- A blend of raspberry, peach, lemon and strawberry on a canvas of florals with a musk melody.Don't let the name fool you.

Hunters Earth- The smell of freshly turned dirt. You can actually smell the musky leaf matter melding with the forest floor. Perfect for a hunting or fishing soap.

Black Vetiver- A woody and amber blend with a hint of citrus followed by notes of red cedar, sandalwood and musk. This is a very rich and warm scent.

Sweet Pea-A light and refreshing floral with hints of jasmine, violet and Lily Of The Valley set on a velvet musk background. Compare to Bath & Body Works.

Country Clothesline-Nostalgic aroma of fresh linens dried on a fresh breezy day. The top is bright with lemon, lime, green apple and clean ozone. The middle blends cedar, jasmine, lavender and lily. The base is a soft violet, lavender and musk.

Stress Relief- Get instant relief with this superbly balanced, calming blend of Lavender and Sage, touched with a hint of Peppermint and Star Anise. A lovely, soft scent that quiets the mind and invigorates the spirit.

I'll work on posting the seasonal scents tomorrow.
